Winchester Lake State Park surrounds a 103-acre lake, nestled in a forested area at the foot of the Craig Mountains, just off US 95 adjoining the town of Winchester.

Winters at the park are long and cold with ample snowfall. Summers are short with warm days and cool, refreshing evenings. Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir are the predominant vegetation. Wildlife often seen in the park includes white-tailed deer, Canada geese, muskrats, Steller?s jay, osprey, and Columbian ground squirrels. The Wolf Education and Research Center is located one mile from the entrance to the park.

These domed, circular tents are located lakeside, tucked in among stately conifers. Yurts provide a unique camping experience. They are furnished with a bunk bed, futon, table and benches. There is an electric light inside, and they are heated. Outside, you can cook on the fire ring. Each yurt sleeps five. Be sure to ask about the Deluxe Yurt experience

Available Campsites Standard Campsites, Serviced Campsites/W,E and Companion Serviced Campsites/W,E

Amenities include individual campsites some with water and electricity at the campsite and others without electricity that share water at a central location, central restroom and shower facilities, and a boat dock.

Reservation Season Reservations for camping within Winchester Lake State Park may be made from May 1st through October 1st. Limited camping on a first-come first-served basis is available after Labor Day weekend through April 30th.
