Lee State Natural Area is a gateway to the Lynches River, a designated state scenic river. The park encompasses 2,839 acres of diverse habitat that includes a vast hardwood floodplain forest, numerous artesian springs, a millpond and sandhills. Visitor amenities include a campground, nature trails, equestrian facilities and picnic area.
The park was originally built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, a New Deal program created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to help young men learn new skills and provide jobs.
The park is beautiful. Always have a great time riding horses and visiting with friends around a campfire. Very pleasant and courteous rangers, always helpful! One of our favorite parks. Looking forward to getting the horse campsites up and going again - we'll be back!

very clean bathrooms, great walking or riding bikes. The parks is beatiful. The boardwalk is fabulus beatiful.Did a great job. We will surely be back and let friends know what a wonderful time we had and how nice you all keep it. The dirt road and artision wells are beatiful. The dog-leese law should be better inforced. Had some running free and into different camps.

my family visited and i have small children, we would have liked to have had a picnic, but there wasnt a playground for them to swing or slide on. I think that at least a small one near the picnic area (not near the ponds) would be wonderful.
