May 29 Lost keys by LockedOut
I think I lost my keys at the park on 5/21/11. Did anyone find them?
August 16 Awesome place to stay! by Griz
Spent 4 days there in July and never witnessed said grumpy park host. Beautiful place, clean, friendly (My guy was very nice). Beautiful boat launch as well. Close to amenities, Pizza Shop, Burger joint etc..
July 22 Host without the most
The male host at Wayfarers State Park seems to be on a power trip of some sort. Less than helpful. Seemed to be most content when throwing around his authority. Witnessed him question (hassle) two different campsites where people were drinking beer but definatly not annoying anyone else. Many left with negative feelings about host.
July 20 Problem With Host by J. Johnson
We had a similar experience with the campground host. We also brought our dogs with us and of course, dogs being dogs, each time he entered our camp site, barked at him. It was not necessary for the host to continually enter our campsite and each time he was aggressive and argumentative. The last time he entered our campsite was to tell us we were two hours late in checking out, when clearly written on the envelope, was the correct time in which to check out. The host also walked into the shower facility while I was in there, not even having the courtesy to knock. This made me very nervous and because of the host, we will not be staying at this park again. If you stay at Wayfarers, try to stay clear of this man.
June 22 watch out for the host
I was treated very rudely by the campground host because of my dog. I had my dog secured to a tree about 10 feet from my tent while I took a nap. I awoke to my dog barking and the campground host told me very rudely and in a gruff tone of voice that I should have my dog on a leash at all times. he was not nice at all and proceeded to walk around my campsite staring at me. and then he shouted at me that a leash is only supposed to be six feet long at most. I observed several other dogs on longer leashes throughout my stay. I feel this man needs to learn how to be nice to people and not so rude.
