Located at the extreme tip of West Virginia's norther panhandle, Tomlinson Run provides a wide range of recreational opportunities to a large number of local and out-of-state visitors.

The park's 1,398 acres extend along the stream from which it gets its name, both of which are named for a family of early settlers, to within a mile of the stream's confluence with the Ohio River.

Roughly divided into two sections, the park offers a wilderness area of heavily forested hills, overhanging cliffs of sandstone and shale, and a profusion of wildflowers and fauna. Featured within the developed areas of the park are picnicking, boating, miniature golf, basketball and volleyball courts, swimming, a campground and a group camp. In addition, program events are scheduled from April through October.

YURT RENTALS

Yurt Rentals at Campground What is a Yurt?Though generally classified as a tent, the yurt is much stronger and weather-tight. Our yurts are a circular structure that consist of a durable fabric cover, tension band and a wood frame that includes a lattice wall, radial rafters, central compression ring and a framed door.

Yurt Rental is a unique offering only at Tomlinson Run and is perfect for the novice camper. You may rent a 2 person yurt, complete with a cooler, a propane stove, lantern, picnic table and cookware, and one set of bunk beds. Two yurt sites are available at the park.

Yurt reservations are accepted beginning February 15 by mail only for the period from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day and are handled in the same manner as a regular campsite rental.
Camping

Park Visitor Online Reviews
September 21 Hidden Treasure by Bill Owings
I grew up in New Manchester and spent my youth in TRSP. Every time I visit my folks (still residents), I take some time to hike a trail or two and discover some of the things I may have overlooked as a kid. The park is always very clean and it allows for a great deal of solitude. I would give anything to have this beautiful place a few steps from my back door today.
