More than two miles of beautiful, unspoiled Atlantic beaches beckon visitors to this park. Across State Road A1A, this Florida haven shelters rare creatures such as Florida scrub-jays, indigo snakes, and gopher tortoises. Visitors can spend the afternoon swimming, sunning at the beach, or surf fishing. Bird-watchers will enjoy spotting the native and migratory species seen in this park. Located on State Road A1A four miles south of Flagler Beach.
Nature of the Area
Wildlife viewing is possible at the park. The park is on the "Atlantic Fly Way". The park is home to the endangered Florida Scrub Jays. Also pelicans, ospreys, and a wide variety of shorebirds can be spotted. The protected Florida Gopher Tortoise and the whitetail deer can be seen, as well as the elusive Florida bobcat.

Directions
Coming from the north, I-95 exit #284, turn left off exit and proceed east 3 miles to A1A, turn right and proceed 5 1/2 miles to Highbridge Road and turn right. Smith Creek Landing's entrance is about 500 yards west on Highbridge. Coming from the south, I-95 exit #268, turn right off exit and proceed east 5 miles to A1A, turn left and go 8 1/2 miles to Highbridge Road and turn left and proceed about 500 yards to entrance.
