In 06 I and friend hiked from the Malad River confluence with the Snake River up the canyon toward the impressive falls under the scenic overlook and bridge. Talk about pristine wild country. Saw wild cat sign, and some of the bluest, truest water anywhere. This kind of country is what i love. The best way to come back down proved to be to float the river back down. (gasp, cold water)
